Circles of Support
A Circle of Support helps a person with a learning disability to establish a personal, social
network. A Circle is structured in a way that operates in the control of the focus person. The Circle is made up of people that support the focus person in a non-patronising and nonjudgemental way e.g. friends and family. Once formed, the Circle is there to assist the person to achieve the Dreams and Ambitions that they may hold. Circles can beĀ established for people of any ability and can provide collective advocacy for the individual.
