Careers Wales : Cardiff and Vale

As young people with special educational needs (SEN) may require additional support to
help plan for their transition from school, an enhanced service is provided via the Learning
difficulties and disabilities (LDD) team.

The LDD Careers Advisers assist young people with a statement of SEN in identifying suitable further education, training or employment and support them in identifying what support requirements they may need to make this transition successful and sustainable.

The LDD Careers Advisers begin work with young people in year 9 which is the beginning
of transition planning, and will continue to work with them up until the age of 25.

This service is free and confidential and parents are encouraged to be involved.
