Changing Places

Thousands of people with profound and multiple learning disabilities cannot use standard
accessible toilets. Changing Places launched its campaign in Wales 2006 and there are now over 900 registered Changing Places toilets in the UK.

Changing Places toilets have a height-adjustable changing bench, a hoist and plenty of space and can make all the difference to a person with a disability and their carers.

The Changing Places campaign is calling for Changing Places toilets to be installed in all
big public places. This includes city centres, shopping centres, arts venues, hospitals,
motorway service stations, leisure complexes, large railway stations and airports.

In Cardiff and the Vale, Changing Places toilets have now been installed at the following
