Hynt Art and Culture Access Scheme

Hynt is a national access scheme that works with theatres and arts centres in Wales to make sure there is a consistent offer available for visitors with an impairment or specific access requirement, and their Carers or Personal Assistants.

Hynt is an Arts Council of Wales initiative managed by Creu Cymru in partnership with Diverse Cymru.

Hynt is a card scheme that entitles cardholders to a ticket free-of-charge for personal assistants or carers to be used across participating theatres and venues in Wales. It is also a training programme working with all of its participating theatres and arts centres to improve accessibility and understanding. Information about accessible performances at venues across Wales are held on their website.

The participating theatres and art centres in Cardiff are:

  • Chapter Arts Centre
  • New Theatre
  • Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama
  • Sherman Cymru
  • St David's Hall
