Primary Mental Health Support Services

The Primary Mental Health Support Service (PMHSS) is a service for people of all ages living with common mental health issues, such as low mood, anxiety, or stress.

The service is for people who want to try new ways of helping themselves. The PMHSS assist individuals in developing a personal action plan to address mental health needs.

Courses include: Stress Control, Mindfulness, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) and groups for anxiety and depression.

The service covers all areas of Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan.  It is provided by the NHS and is free of charge.

In order to access the service, speak to your GP or community mental health team who will then be able to refer you to the service.
