Respond

Respond works with people with learning disabilities who have experienced significant trauma in their lives. They specialise in working with the effects of sexual abuse, but also work with people whose problems are not necessarily sexual. They provide support, advice and training for families and professionals.

Respond also works with parents with learning disabilities and run a few services such as
a Young People’s Service, Elder’s Project and Bereavement Counselling Service and works with perpetrators of sexual abuse who themselves have learning disabilities.
