RNIB Cymru helps people with sight problems. Their work helps not just with Braille, talking books and technology, but with some imaginative and practical solutions to everyday challenges. They provide information, advice and advocacy on a range of issues such as creating a more accessible environment and benefits to a range of individuals and organizations.
Their Transitions Officer works with 14-25 year olds providing support on the journey from
school, through FE/HE and into employment. They also provide advice and guidance to
schools and training for the professionals working with the children and young people.
They also provide advice and training on accessible information and can support the transcription of information into Braille, audio, large print, DAISY and electronic formats.
Through local partners they provide support for people in work or looking for work through
advice and guidance in the use of specialist hardware and software that can help people
with sight problems to use computers.
