Safer Wales Women's Safety Unit

Safer Wales Women's Safety Unitis part of the Families First Early Years initiative, which provide services to clients in Cardiff who are pregnant or have children aged 0-4 years. The service works closely with health professionals to identify women who are at risk of domestic abuse or those who are currently experiencing it.

Eligibility Criteria:

Women aged 16+

Pregnnt or have children aged 0-4 years.

Domestic and/or sexual violence and abuse.

Flying Start areas - East Cardiff (Rumney, St Mellons, Trowbridge, Pentwyn, Llanedeyrn)

Generic areas - All Cardiff

Referrals are received from health professionals and support includes interventions, police watch and welfare checks, legal surgeries, and a 12-week programme
 aimed at women who have left an abusive relationship.
