The Children's Intensive Support Service (CISS)
The Children’s Intensive Support Service (CISS) works alongside and in partnership with carers and professionals to maintain children with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour in the most appropriate community settings, eg at home, school, etc.
The support provided is individually tailored to the needs of the child and their parents/carers and could consist of advice and consultation, collaborative working, intensive support and training. The service aims to be as unintrusive as possible and sensitive to cultural, racial, religious and personal aspirations.
