Vale Community Support Team

The Community Support Team (CST) provides advice and support for adults with learning
disabilities who live in the Vale of Glamorgan. The CST will signpost people to appropriate
services in the Vale and provide an assessment and care management service for those people who meet the Team’s eligibility criteria. The CST commissions and arranges care packages where there is an assessed need for such services, and will support and review those services to ensure that they continue to meet assessed need.

The Community Support Team is a multidisciplinary team with trained and experienced
staff from both Social Services and Health. The team consists of social workers, nurses
and therapists including psychology, speech and language, occupational therapy and
physiotherapy staff.
