Vale of Glamorgan Sports Development Unit

The aim of the sports development team is to facilitate the development of quality sports
opportunities for people within the local community. The team has a Disability Sport Wales Development Officer whose role is to increase opportunities for disabled people to take part in sports. This role includes working with local clubs to offer training to coaches and
volunteers, assisting clubs and organisations in accessing funding to develop new and existing activities, and to disseminate information regarding opportunities available.
There are a variety of sports club opportunities available to people with disabilities in the Vale of Glamorgan. These include gymnastics, boccia, swimming, angling and martial arts.
